Do you enjoy reading along with How Do You Do It?, but feel like maybe we’re missing a voice? Your voice, for instance?
We are interested in adding some new writers to our blog. If you think you have something to contribute, such as a different perspective (living abroad? higher-order multiples? dad of twins? multiples via surrogacy or adoption? the list goes on…), leave us a note here in the comments.
Let us know why you’d be a great new voice on our site, or if you have an idea for a new feature! Please be sure to include your personal blog’s URL in the comment form.
hey there! i am a mom of preemie triplets who are almost 10 months old (7 months adjusted age). they were born 10 weeks and 5 days early and spent 38, 41 & 45 days in the nicu. i spent 6 weeks at home on modified bedrest, 8 weeks in the hospital on complete bedrest and eventually delivered via emergency c-section due to complications from ttts (ironically, not the ptl that landed me in the hospital in the 1st place). i breastfed them almost exclusively until very recently (6 months adjusted) and still do breastfeed 2 times per day (the other 2 they get bottles). i have a daughter who is 12, so in addition to parenting the triplets i am also navigating the scary waters of a preteen daughter in junior high. that alone is plenty for a blog! although i am not entirely sure i have enough great things to say, i am asked how i do it all the time so i figured i would throw myself in the ring. why not? right?
I am the expectant mom of twins, due hopefully in July. We have decided to keep the genders a surprise and our Dr. is still unsure about identical vs. fraternal. I currently have a blog that has mainly been my about day-to-day life with two dogs and now has shifted focus slightly on how to be a mom to 2 children!
I love to write and would love to share my perspective of being a new mom to twins & seek advice from those who know all the answers! I do plan to return to work after a 12-week maternity leave, so I’m sure that will be a wild ride in itself. I can’t promise that I will be a 2-time a day contributor, but would love to throw my name in the hat as well.
Can I first say how much I love this blog. It really gives much needed insight, great advice, and some good laughs!I am a SAHM/ student/aspiring photographer! I have 3 under 2! My b/g twins are 3 weeks, and DD #1 is 19 months. I feel that this blog could really benefit from the added perspective of a young mom trying to balance it all. Being a young mom is great. Heck I have tons of energy, but also has its own challenges too…. seriously strech marks at 24?! I married the love of my live right after I turned 20, and here I am 4 years later with 3 children. I wanted DD to have a sibling, so we started trying before she turned one. I knew 2 under 2 would be challenging, but never ever expected to hear the word twins. The challenges and joys of being a young mom are the theme of my daily life. I would love to share my humble experience of trying to not go crazy!
Cool! I’d love to write for this site. I also write for Twins Magazine, too. I can’t seem to get enough of twin talk.
I don’t want to directly compete with the first poster or anything, but my passion really is about staying busy and being creative with daughters, both 2. My angle would be Getting Things Done — Twin Mama Style.
I’d mix it up fun with some GREAT activities, games and projects good for more than one child — all while helping Mama stay sane and productive as well.
Just how does a Mama get dinner done while two clingy toddlers are hanging on her legs? I have the answer (some of the time.)
What if Mama needs to clean today? I can help.
Suppose Mama needs some down time? There’s something in my magjc box for this, too.
In other words, I can show your readers how to take care of their twins while caring for themselves, too. It’s not perfect, and not all of the activities will work all of the time, but it might be enough to ease a long morning.
Check out my blog — search toddler activities — since I’ve written a little about this in the past. Let me know what you think!
Another passion of mine might be Budgeting with Twins, which would include meal planning, toy organizing, clothing and toy swaps, etc.

I love this blog, and have read it regularly since I discovered it. I’m a full-time working mom of two-year-old monozygotic girls. I spent 15 months raising my girls by myself while my husband was in Iraq, and am currently readjusting to being part of a parenting team.
My MA is in Linguistics, and my daughters have been exposed to Baby Sign since they were 3 months old. They’re also being raised English-Bengali bilingual, I’m a huge proponent of early multilingualism. I’d love to have the opportunity to write about the joys, benefits and travails of raising multilingual and multi-ethnic kids. (While I’m ethnically Bengali, and Bangladeshi and British by citizenship, my husband’s 100% American: half Mexican and half Western European.) Child language development in general is fascinating to me, and I’d be happy to review the current literature on the topic to make it relevant to parents.
My husband and I both love to cook, and I manage to fit cooking healthy meals into my busy day. I’ve made my girls’ food since they first started solids. I’d love another opportunity to share my tricks, tips and recipes.
The local Mother of Multiples group is a pillar of strength for my family, although most of the activities that involve the kids take place during the work week. I’d also be happy to comment on being a working mom in the middle of stay-at-home-mom suburbia, and how to maintain a sense of humour when encountering derogatory attitudes towards my parenting choices. (Of course, it helps that most of my SAHM friends are super-supportive of my decision to continue to work.)

Hi. I have loved staying updated with your website since I found it. I would love to contribute. Writing has always been a passion and to be able to share experiences would be a gift. My unique point of view is that I am a single mother by choice of twin infants. The boys are 4 months old right now and it’s just the three of us. I got pregnant through donor insemination, had a challenging pregnancy and an even more challenging NICU course, all of which I would love to share from my prospective for other single moms of multiples.
I am mommy to 25 month old fraternal twin girls. They arrived 9 weeks early, after struggling many years with infertility and making it through a very rough pregnancy that included 15 weeks of bedrest, a portion of that in the hospital. Oddly enough, I come from a long line of twins that run in my mother’s side of the family, including my twin brother and sister, yet we eventually turned to IVF to conceive our twins.
I work full time from home, and am required to occasionally travel for work. My husband is great at handling things while I am away. We had a full time nanny here during my work hours, now she is just part time two days a week and my girls go to daycare three days a week. I have made many childcare choices in their two short years, all in trying to balance what works best for my family, my children, and our work life. I think I’ve found a great mix at this point.
I love to cook and am fortunate to have children who eat well and love healthy foods. This summer I’m hoping my garden does better than in past years, I want to teach the girls all about growing the things they eat.
I’m also pretty knowledgeable on fitness information, I’ve done several twelve week group training sessions to try to get my pre-pregnancy body back, and if I could just ignore the chocolate I’d be pretty successful. I was also a Jazzercise instructor in my pre-baby life.
And lastly, we are trying to conceive another child, and I’m working through my fear of another difficult pregnancy. One day at a time.
I do love to write, my own personal blog is all about very short updates, pictures, and videos of my kiddos since a lot of my family lives quite a distance from us, and they are really only interested in seeing pictures and video. I wrote for the college newspaper and was placed in higher level English and Writing courses in high school and college.
OK,
Seriously, am I the only one??? I’m sitting here typing out this blog entry and, yes my twins are in the bathtub WHAT?! (with no water, don’t worry, they can’t get it on). Please tell me that I’m not alone. I turn my back and leave the bathroom door open ONE TIME and where do they go? UGH! If I only had one it would be SO MUCH EASIER! I could bring them with me, but, since I can’t, go ahead and play with the duckies! SOOO….. Sorry about my application! Gotta go. here’s a link to my geeky blog to get a sense of how I write! Hope you all are well.

I am interested in communicating with other mom’s to find out how to get some order in my home, as well as some sleep. I have some stuff to contribute. I am really just looking for support.
Hello my fellow multiples mothers!!! I would LOVE to be an imputting member of this group. I literally check in two and three times a day.
I am a SAHM to my four wonderful children ( 4 year old daughter, 2 year old twin girls, and a 5 month old son). I seek you all out every day for advice and support. I can honestly say that there has not been a post YET that I haven’t been able to say “yep” or “been there”… Oh and did i mention that I am also a full time college student (taking classes online) while ‘just’ being a mom, wife, cook, maid, etc…
I only want to help other moms and offer support in the ’sections’ of time that I have already covered
Our family blog can be found at http://www.thekrumwiedesix.blogspot.com , it is mostly “MY” version of the days etc… I try to update it daily
